A multi-media event of video, live music and dance; a night of extraordinary female performers carrying the torch of Matahari, artists of mystery, intrigue & passion... Nu-jazz, Cabaret, and Lounge Culture, meet in an absinthe-infused celebration of feminine artistic extravagance!
The evening begins with the Los Angeles premiere of the conceptual music video “Just For Fun” by Matahari Music artist, Juliet Annerino. Actors from the video will be in attendance and the first 20 guests will receive a special collectors’ item souvenir “toy”, to celebrate the debut.
“Juliet Annerino”, and her band, "The Torch Ensemble" will perform songs from her record, “Scenes from a Life on Fire”. Her nu-jazz/lounge/neo-soul has been heard from Paris to Amsterdam, New York to Cairo. The first 25 guests will receive a complimentary copy of Juliet Annerino’s new record, “Scenes from a Life on Fire”.
Los Angeles favorite “Silver Phial” will perform, featuring Vocalist/percussionist, “Cheryl Caddick”. Like a vision from a fairytale, wistful and thought- provoking “witch music for elves”, casting a 60’s style lounge, acoustic spell.
Performing as “Mata Hari “, in an exotic belly dance will be professional modern dancer/wrestling champion “Liz Lightspeed”, accompanied by the musicians of “The Torch Ensemble”.
The once forbidden, ever-precious, “Mata Hari Absinthe” will flow at “Home” in all its legendary glory throughout the night for a very special price of $5 a glass.
Tickets for admission to “Incarnations of Matahari” are just $5 for advance purchase on line here or $10 at the door, and 10% of all proceeds will be donated to “Code Pink”.
Raffle tickets will also be for sale at $1 each for a chance to win CD's, T-shirts,
one-of-a-kind props from music videos & other select special prizes.
